Brian McDermott has been confirmed as the new Leeds United manager by Ben Jacobs via Twitter. McDermott was due to appear on Sky Sports ‘Footballers Football show tonight but has pulled out due to a ‘very good reason’

Jacobs also confirmed that the decision was entirely GFH Capitals, and that McDermott had confirmed to him that his appointment will be annoucned tommorow, with David Haigh and Salem Patel currently on their way to the UK.

I’ve included the Tweets below for those that aren’t on Twitter.

Ben Jacobs ‏@JacobsBen  Right, I have now had it CONFIRMED, straight from the horses mouth, that Brian #McDermott is the new Leeds manager #LUFC

It is also worth pointing out the new Leeds boss is entirely the decision of GFH Capital… no third party (including Parkin) had any say

I am hearing, from the McDermott camp, an official announcement and press conference should take place tomorrow, once all formalities done

  1. Martin O´Neil has the Job and will take over Monday 15th April. He will be at the match Saturday to see the team play Sheffield Wednesday. A short announcement will be made before the game starts with Leeds slaughtering Wednesday 6-0, Somma hatrick included.

  2. Who cares who the hell is the manager. He will get the sack if they dont win all their last games anyway.
